These strong animals look much like the German Shepherd and weigh about 40-176 pounds with males being usually larger than females. The coat comes in a variety of colors and is very thick to protect the animals from harsh weather.

Gray wolves were once found on vast territories of the Northern hemisphere and are now endangered due to habitat loss and hunting. The species turned out to be more “lucky” as compared to red wolves that were almost on the brink of extinction.
